Commercial Shoot for Ranku — SFO Airport, San Francisco
Why SFO? The Logic Behind the Location
Airports are not the obvious choice for a commercial shoot. The logistics are complicated, you're working in a public space, and the pressure of gates and schedules doesn't naturally lend itself to a relaxed set. But Marc Olivier Le Blanc and the Ranku team chose SFO deliberately — and the reasoning was as good as the results.
SFO's floor-to-ceiling terminal windows flood the interior with beautiful diffuse natural light. For a brand built around the idea of productivity for people who are always moving, shooting inside the airport was a way of placing the product in its natural context. Ranku was built for people with busy lives: professionals, frequent fliers, people who measure their time in departures and layovers.
Ranku — Mobile Learning for Busy Professionals
Ranku created a platform for people who want to pursue further education but can't reorganize their lives to do it — flexible, mobile-first learning that fits into the gaps between meetings, flights, and commitments. The SFO shoot was built to tell that story visually: a person with a phone, an airport in motion, and the world continuing to move around them.

The results delivered exactly what the brief called for: images that placed the product in the context of the people who actually use it, in a location that made the story legible at a glance. For Ranku, SFO wasn't a backdrop — it was the argument.
