Nude Landscape Photography at Mt. Tamalpais — Bay Area Fine Art Series

. The Naked Series — A Continuing Project

This image is the latest installment in an ongoing series I started in December the previous year, with the first shoot at Mt. Tamalpais in Marin. The project explores the relationship between the human form and the California landscape — stripped of the urban context that dominates most portrait photography.

The series began simply: I wanted to get out of the city, challenge myself technically, and create images that felt genuinely different from my lifestyle work.

. Shooting at Point Reyes National Seashore

Point Reyes sits just north of San Francisco across the Golden Gate, just north of Marin County. Its trails cut through redwood groves, open ridgelines, and coastal scrub — a landscape that shifts dramatically depending on the season and the hour.

Shooting here requires patience and flexibility. Light moves fast on the mountain, permits aren't always straightforward, and the work demands a level of trust from your subject that takes time to build.

. Fine Art and Editorial Photography in the Bay Area

Alongside my commercial work, I maintain a personal fine art photography practice. This series is part of that — not for clients, but for the discipline and creative satisfaction of making images that push against the grain of my everyday work.

If you're interested in discussing a personal fine art project or an editorial commission that lives outside the typical commercial brief, I'm always open to the conversation.
