Here are a few new portraits from a session with SF Opera’s John Churchwell.

John Churchwell is one of the leading collaborative pianists of his generation.

Churchwell studied at the New England Conservatory of Music and Tufts University where he earned a Bachelor of Music in Piano and Bachelor of Arts in French. He then continued his studies at the University of Minnesota where he earned a Master of Music and a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Accompanying.

After finishing his education, he worked as an assistant conductor for both the Metropolitan Opera and the San Francisco Opera.

In August 2011, Churchwell was promoted to the Head of Music at the SF Opera.

It was a great shoot and an honor to work with him. I can’t wait to add these portraits to my website.
