Kim Ho, UX Designer at Coin

I recently did a photo shoot with Kim Ho, a product designer at Coin.

Kim has always loved building things. Before becoming a product designer, she studied architecture at University of Waterloo’s School of Architecture.

As a product designer, she works on the UX (aka user experience) which includes the Coin mobile and web experience. Coin enables users to store all their credit, debit, gift, loyalty, and membership cards in one place through a connected device shaped as a card. It comes with an LED display, allowing users to pick the card they want to make use of through the smart card. Pretty neat, right?

Before working at Coin she worked as a UX designer at Tulip Retail and before that she worked at Encircle creating cross platform apps for home inventory management.

On her website she states, “The process of design excites me. I believe in working at various scales and mediums to understand a problem. I have a strong bias for doing; designing is a way for me to make sense of the world.”

Good job, Kim! and keep creating neat products for us. :-) I’m happy add her photos to my portraits.
