Mother's Slimy Secret

According to my mother, and an article from her French woman's magazine (and wikipedia), this snail facial acts as an anti-aging skin treatment. I can't say positively that it does the job, but what we do know for sure is that it provides for a unique portrait. When my mother told me that she wanted to give this a try, I knew I'd have to photograph it... because really? Who thinks to do this kind of stuff? It was a hilarious moment and I have to applaud my mom for being so outgoing. It is corky moments like these that I feel create authenticity and strong sense of character in a portrait.
