All Naked But One - Portrait with Maxine

I recently had the opportunity to shoot Maxine Wulf at my photo studio in the Mission in San Francisco. Maxine is an actress, model, and friend. She needed more portraits for her acting portfolio. SF Portait Advertising Photographer

At the studio,  we have these neat mannequins that I have been wanting to incorporate into a shoot. Well, why not now? They were great props and I hope to use them again if the shoot warrants it.

Instead of the usual naked female shot, Maxine dressed in a formal black suit and stood amongst the naked mannequins. The female body is beautiful, but nudity (or partial nudity) is too common these days in media. I think the combination of her facial expression and being fully dressed gives more clear point of female empowerment and that she is a badass.

Big thanks to makeup artist Monique Ford for her help on set!

It was a fun shoot and I’m excited to add this portrait to my portfolio.
