Meryl Pataky, SF Sculptor and Neon Artist

A few weeks ago, I had the chance to meet and take photos of San Francisco artist, Meryl Pataky at her studio in the Mission district of San Francisco. She is only a couple of blocks away from my photo studio. :)

She is a silversmith, welder, neon artist, and teacher. Her work consistently revolves around elements found on the periodic table. Using the elements available, she creates a variety of abstract pieces that relate to her view of universal connectedness. There is a great KQED video that discusses her art and recent projects.

It was great meeting this talented artist and I can’t wait to add these photos to my portraits.
