Pamela Winston-Charbonneau carries on in a sweet success story of her own... one that almost sounds like a children's fairytale.

As a young girl Pamela's father introduced the task of counting buttons as a way to keep busy, while he shopped around old antique stores. As the task became beautiful to Pamela, her eyes dazzled at the sight of antique buttons and her passion for them grew. Pamela's love of jewelry, skills in silver-smithing and continuous admiration for buttons paved the way for her to create her own handcrafted jewelry business.

She created a jewelry line called "Cute as a Button", which are rare button centered rings, earrings and pendants. For over 16 years her creations have been showcased in a variety of retail stores in San Francisco, where we photographed her, as well as in a caboose called "Successories" in Pacifica.

Now, Pamela is proud to have her very own store in Noe Valley where she continues to share her creations, as well as showcasing those of other local designers.
